Highlighting the important technologies and components necessary to lowing a building’s carbon footprint, the award-winning ZEDpavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010 has already been named the permanent Zero Carbon Museum of Shanghai. Thanks to its airtight construction and passive solar orientation, this structure not only is a model of sustainability, but also shows off the strategies behind ZEDfactory’s work in zero-carbon design and development. For the remainder of the Expo, the building is home to exhibitions from ZEDfactory, London Development Agency, and the University of Nottingham.
