When he decided to build a new addition to his Venice, California home, owner Paul Bricault, opted to make the walls of this new structure plush, contemporary, and full of life. Adorned on every square inch of these new living walls are sedums and a variety of other succulents that draw-in those passing by. The the 1,700-square-foot home addition was designed by Bricault’s brother, Vancouver, B.C.-based architect and furniture designer Marc Bricault. Together, the addition not only adds eye-catching vegetation-draped walls to the structure, but also makes for a unique Paris-inspired master bedroom and carport renovation.
“Everyone who comes here looks at it with this quixotic expression. We get all sorts of questions, including, ‘Do we have roots coming through the inside walls?”
