Designed by Sydney-based architects Tony Owen Partners, the new Australian headquarters for motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson is partly inspired by the shapes and character of the motorcycles themselves. A close look at this building may reveal the frames and forks of a bike, but whether you see theses shapes are not, the design certainly conveys the lifestyle of the company.
The new headquarters is home to administrative offices, technical training, and storage facilities. But all work and no play is not in-line with what Harley-Davidson stands for, so there is also a showroom, cafe, library, and even a gym. The building also serves as a dramatic focal point for an all-new high-tech business park on the Lane Cove River just outside of Sydney.
