Designed by Studio H:T, the Fractured residence, located in Boulder, Colorado, features splayed property lines that the house was built around. This implied ‘fracture’ delivers a unique spatial experience inside the home and the theme of the fracturing is continued through design of the interior, particularly along the staircase. The design also maximizes air circulation and the flow of light throughout each room. Meanwhile, the exterior is somewhat box-shaped with many sharp lines and edges. Despite its relatively compact size, the house delivers an incredibly spacious interior that is helped by a tremendous amount of light and overall openness.
